How to consume CBD
As you may already know, there are several different ways to consume CBD. In this article, we will review the existing possibilities as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Let's start with a brief reminder of what CBD is. CBD is the name of a molecule present in the cannabis plant, and it is the commonly used term for cannabis flowers legally sold in Switzerland, with a THC content not exceeding 1% and varying levels of CBD. Now, let's take a look at the various ways to consume CBD:
Smoking the flowers
The first and primary way to consume CBD is by smoking it. People who smoke CBD often do so to reduce or quit their consumption of high-THC cannabis. It is common to see CBD being smoked in joints or blunts.
Some people also have the habit of mixing CBD with tobacco, but it is generally a practice that should be avoided. Besides the fact that tobacco is harmful to health, CBD and nicotine have opposite effects. CBD relaxes, while tobacco stimulates and is addictive. However, most people consuming CBD smoke it with tobacco, thereby damaging their health.
Vaporization
An increasingly popular way to consume CBD is through vaporization. First, the device needs to be preheated to temperatures between 160 and 220 degrees Celsius. However, if your flowers are rather dry, it is better to slightly lower these temperatures. Once the flowers are ground and placed in the vaporizer, it will heat them up, allowing you to enjoy the unique aromas of cannabis pleasantly. All this without combustion, without tobacco, and therefore without the risks of addiction or health problems.
The only drawback one might find with this method is the price and maintenance of the vaporizer. Some models can be found for 50 CHF, but their quality and durability might not be optimal. Prices can go up to 300 CHF! Additionally, the device needs to be kept as clean as possible and certain parts replaced after some time.
CBD Teas and Infusions
CBD flowers can also be consumed in the form of teas or infusions. The process is relatively simple. Boil water, put 1 or 2 flowers in a strainer or tea infuser, add some milk or butter to help the CBD incorporate into the tea due to the fat content, and let it all steep for 3 to 4 minutes before enjoying it. And if the taste is not satisfactory, you can also mix your flowers with other ingredients, as is the case with our Black Tea "Sweet Dream" and our Red Tea "Morning Boost."
Body and Face Creams - CBD Oils
For taking care of your skin, CBD creams are a good natural alternative to the many products containing chemical additives on the market. These creams are excellent for maintaining and moisturizing your skin, whether it's the face, body, or hands. For example, take the "Body Care and Collagen" and "B-Chill" creams, which are handcrafted in Switzerland using only organic ingredients. CBD oils can also be applied to the skin for nurturing and nourishing it.
Cooking and Other Edible Products
It is possible to incorporate CBD flowers into various foods and beverages. We mentioned tea earlier in this article, but you can also prepare coffees, butter, candies, and various dishes to savor without moderation, other than the classic cookies or "Space Cakes" made with cannabis with a higher THC content. With CBD, there's no risk of getting high, and your taste buds will only relish it even more.
As you can see, there are many ways to enjoy your CBD in the way that suits you best. Don't hesitate to share in the comments how you consume yours. ?
